And so it begins.

Today is January 2nd, 2019.

My goal is to save 50k in 52 weeks, I have no idea how this will go, but I'm going to log the process and see what happens. This is almost 1k per week, Sounds like an overwhelming challenge.

Disclaimers:
1) My only experience with finance is marrying well (He is good with money) and Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University. Which I have going through 3 times. I haven't taken any finance classes and I'm horrible with numbers.
2) Grammar is also not my strong point so. . . ya that.
Anyone reading this needs to understand I'm doing the best I can and that has to be enough.
3) I am making this blog to hold myself accountable, and to keep record of my successes and failures.
4) I love extreme goals.  I am starting another blog today called "Failing Every Day for a Year"  I think starting two blogs on the same day should count as setting myself up for failure, but hey, why not?

Back Story:
When my husband and I had been married one week, we sat down to combine our financial statements. He asked me for my check register (yes, we used checks back then) and I asked in all sincerity "You have to register your checks?"  I had no idea what a check register was.  I had never used one. I used mine to make notes to myself.

When he asked me how I knew when I needed to put money in th bank, I told him "I don't know, I guess I just put money in whenever I feel like I need to".  oops.  This blog wouldn't be happening if got paid for the look on his face. It was as if I had told him I was already married to someone else.  At that point I think he knew he was in for long ride.

  And so it begins:

We changed phone companies last week and I am including that savings in this year because my phone had to be ordered and will arrive on Friday. The savings will be 50.00 per month equalling 600.00 for the year.  Now I only have to 49,400 to go.  Much less intimidating.  Ha ha ha.
